We’re delighted that Stephen South: The Way it Was has been nominated for the Michael Sedgwick Award. The Society of Automotive Historians in Britain presents an annual award in the name of the famous motoring researcher and author Michael Sedgwick (1926-1983).
The award, which takes the form of a unique plaque and a £250 prize given by the Michael Sedgwick Memorial Trust, hopes to “encourage new research into motoring history and to make the findings available to the public”.
The winner will demonstrate excellence in research, presentation, readability and novelty, and will materially further understanding of its given subject.
The panel is headed by SAHB chairman Guy Loveridge, motoring author and broadcaster and Committee Member of the Guild of Motoring Writers.
The SAHB will announce the winner and present the award its 2017 Seminar and AGM in October.
